We are a bunch of women who love God and love to encourage other women to be all God wants us to be. We know that the Bible says that "one shall chase a thousand and two shall put ten thousands to flight." Joshua 23:10 We are stronger together!

Journalling to God
This month is a great month to take time and journal three things you are thankful to God for. Do it each day. You probably need time to cool out at the end of the day anyway. I dare you. It will surprise you what you will find and how you will feel. And make it really good by sharing with a girlfriend! That's what makes it Sister Talk!

Helping Others Along the Way
I was so excited to learn that something I said helped a friend to get moving on writing her book. She not only has completed it and is waiting for the printer to deliver but has half way completed her second book. Hooray for her.
Then I spoke to a long time friend who is so talented it's ridiculous but has had trouble getting that project started and completed. I know we all can relate right? But now she tells me that she has just gotten inspired to the tune of a completed children's manuscript with proposals for an alphabet series that will keep her motivated and writing forever. Yahoo!
I don't know how much I added to these ladies inspiration but whatever little bit I did add, it makes me feel really good. And you know what? It inspires me to keep working on my projects. How about that! I can't stop now I'm on a roll. So watch out, I'm coming your way.
Moral of this entry? You are important to someone else's destiny so get going with yours.

Waiting Well
Many of you have requested the information that was presented on Saturday June 11, 2011 on waiting. Well here it is. Minister Carol Francis shared her story on waiting for God to bring the husband He had promised her. That wait would be over fifteen years. But as many has said before, it was worth the wait.
I had the pleasure of hearing Carol speak on waiting a few weeks before. I was so impressed with the structure of the information that I decided to share my notes with you too. She showed seven steps on the waiting journey.
I had the pleasure of hearing Carol speak on waiting a few weeks before. I was so impressed with the structure of the information that I decided to share my notes with you too. She showed seven steps on the waiting journey.
- Wishing: This when God initially plants the promise in your spirit. You begin to wish for it to come to past.
- Wanting: When time passes and you haven't seen it yet, you begin to want it. You see the value in the promise and recognize the need for it in your life.
- Wandering: As time continue to past, you may begin to waver in your belief; lose focus; waste time and be apt to grab things that look like the promise but may lack God.
- Watching for His way: After times of hits and misses you may begin to press into God more because you know He can't lie. So you start to watch him and learn His way.
- Walking with Him: Now you have come to the place where you decide to do things His way. You're still in the wilderness trying to find your way out but you will not come out until you decide to agree with Him. There may be adjustments that have to be made in your life. What are you willing to put down in order to receive the abundant life?
- Warring: At this time you are ready to receive from God but there is resistence from the enemy. You have decided what God has for you is for you and you go into warfare. But God will teach you how to fight. Your own methods will not work. God has a special strategy for you.
- Worship: This is the time when your heart says "Just Him". You are willing to release everything about you and recieve everything about Him.

Travelling Buddies a Sister Talk Event
I know you are as excited as I am for an opportunity to celebrate those who are important in your lives. How can you show everyone how God has blessed you with connections that extend your abilities, your hearts and your gifts. Life is a journey and God has commissioned us to walk that journey in love-godly love. Along the way we have found those who have hooked up with us and have made our journey much easier, much more enjoyable to make. These connections aren't haphazardly made, but I believe that each connection is authored by God. We have to keep these good relationships healthy. So take this opportunity to praise God for each one. Join us as we relax in the love of God and in each other.

Who Ya Gonna Turn To?
Don't you just hate it when you need to talk to somebody and they seem like they don't have the time to listen? They may cut the conversation shorter than you need it to be or even only listen halfheartedly. It gives you a sinking, deeply unsatisfied feeling; don't it? I know it does that for me. The enemy doesn't waste any time jumping on that. Right away feelings of disconnections, hurt, low self esteem and many other kinds of feelings descend on my emotions and thoughts and if I'm not careful, I'll follow them straight into anger, frustration and even depression. What do you do when this happens?
Jesus had this experience just before the day of His crucifixion. He desperately needed His closest disciples, Peter, James and John to support Him. But when He returned from praying in the garden of Gethsemane, Not none but on three different occassions, He found them sleeping, Matthew 26:36-46. I hate when people fall asleep during a heart wrenching moment. But even though Jesus was obviously hurt, he didn't allow his feelings to dictate his heart.
We don't know how are friends are feeling when we need them and not all of time are they able to answer our needs. When that happens we have to release them like Jesus did. In Matthew 26:41 He said, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." He gave them the benefit of the doubt. He knew that it was only God who can always supply our needs- be it physical, emotional or spiritual.
So when you experience this fact in your girlfriend-sister relationships, remember the flesh is weak in that it may be a time issue ir an emotional issue or even a spiritual issue that prevents them from being available at that moment even though in their heart of hearts the spirit is willing. Don't be so hard on them, sometimes it's by God's design that they are not available. Sometimes He wants us to come straight to Him for the answers.

How Violent Are You?
"The kingdom of God suffered violence and the violent take it by force," Matthew 11:12. How many times have we heard that scripture spoken? Today on our Morning JOGG (joining of girlfriends interceding for girlfriends) prayer line, the theme of our free styled conversation before the prayer centered around being violent in our faith, and our walk in order to dispel the wiles of the enemy in our lives. I thought:, how violent was I? Did I have the temperament not take any stuff, to not give the enemy any room to mess with me and my family? Not all of us have the same personality. Not all of us are comfortable with confrontation.
The Lord reminded me about Jael the housewife in Judges 4 who even though she was not on the battlefield during the war between Israel and the Canaanites, she won the war. Her weapons of choice were, a blanket and a warm cup of milk. She used the things she was familiar with to over throw the enemy and Israel rejoiced.
You may not have all the scriptures committed to memory or you may not know how to rebuke with the elegance of Peter in the Bible, but just reciting the 23rd Psalms can be a word of warfare against the enemy. The faith you have for your children's well being may be the weapon that sends the enemy spinning out of your house. So don't under estimate the power of God in your life even if you don't feel mighty. He that is within you is greater than he that is in the world. 1John 4:4.
