Love Better!

Remember the song: What the World needs Now is Love? Guess what it's still true, but I would like to extend that to the church too. We have trouble loving the unlovely because.. well frankly, it hurts us. Yes there are unlovely people that come to church every Sunday just like you do.  But they may not be as lovable as you may estimate yourself to be. Hello?  We don't know what people have had to endure in their lives, what they are hiding from or even the source of their unlovable behavior.  But what we do know is that God loves them too and has commissioned us to do the same. And guess what? We can.

Thje Bible says in 1Corinthians 13 that love never fails and love never ends. Love has changed an otherwise unlovable person into a lovable one.  It will give you a joy that you wouldn't have anticipated. Now don't get crazy, this is done through the love of God, not just your clever words.  It's good to know that the burden is on God. So start loving better today. Spend time with someone, talk, honest talk and take every opportunity to do it over and over again.Take the Journey to Loving Better and receive a free CD

Spring Cleaning

Spring cleaning is one of those annual things you do right after the winter months.  It's a different sort of cleaning than the ones you do weekly or daily.  It's the kind that requires pulling out furniture and appliances, exposing spaces that had been hidden for a year or more.  It calls for taking light fixtures apart, climbing up on scaffolds to clean hard to reach places.  It takes time and endurance to accomplish the job.

So it is with our souls. Everybody 's soul need inspecting from time to time.  Psalms 26:2 says, "Examine me, O Lord and try my reins and my heart."  2 Corinthians 13:5 says, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith: prove your own selves..."  Over the years we may have accumulated feelings of unforgiveness, self pity, unrepentant sin, hurts and bitterness.  Issues that aren't dealt with won't go away but just lay dormant causing dissatisfaction with our lives, our loved ones.  It messes with our health, sucks out our joy and creates fear, damaging our faith and our relationships with each other. What about allowing the Lord to do some spring cleaning in your heart?  If we surrender to the Word and seek His face, guess what? He'll do it.

Listen to This!

This teleseminar is wonderful for those of you who want to be what God wants you to be in this new year. Those who are fasting as a beginning, for more power, for things that you know the Word says but not seeing it operating in your life, enjoy.

It will surprise you what you will find and how you will feel. And make it really good by sharing with a girlfriend! That's what makes it Sister Talk!

Helping Others Along the Way

I was so excited to learn that something I said helped a friend to get moving on writing her book. She not only has completed it and is waiting for the printer to deliver but has half way completed her second book.  Hooray for her.

Then I spoke to a long time friend who is so talented it's ridiculous but has had trouble getting that project started and completed.  I know we all can relate right? But now she tells me that she has just gotten inspired to the tune of a completed children's manuscript with proposals for an alphabet series that will keep her motivated and writing forever. Yahoo!

I don't know how much I added to these ladies inspiration but whatever little bit I did add, it makes me feel really good. And you know what? It inspires me to keep working on my projects.  How about that! I can't stop now I'm on a roll. So watch out, I'm coming your way.

Moral of this entry? You are important to someone else's destiny so get going with yours.

Good Writing!

Waiting Well

Many of you have requested the information that was presented on Saturday June 11, 2011 on waiting. Well here it is. Minister Carol Francis shared her story on waiting for God to bring the husband He had promised her.  That wait would be over fifteen years. But as many has said before, it was worth the wait.

I had the pleasure of hearing Carol speak on waiting a few weeks before. I was so impressed with the structure of the information that I decided to share my notes with you too.  She showed seven steps on the waiting journey.

  1. Wishing: This when God initially plants the promise in your spirit. You begin to wish for it to come to past.
  2. Wanting: When time passes and you haven't seen it yet, you begin to want it.  You see the value in the promise and recognize the need for it in your life.
  3. Wandering: As time continue to past, you may begin to waver in your belief; lose focus; waste time and be apt to grab things that look like the promise but may lack God.
  4. Watching for His way: After times of hits and misses you may begin to press into God more because you know He can't lie. So you start to watch him and learn His way.
  5. Walking with Him: Now you have come to the place where you decide to do things His way. You're still in the wilderness trying to find your way out but you will not come out until you decide to agree with Him. There may be adjustments that have to be made in your life. What are you willing to put down in order to receive the abundant life?
  6. Warring: At this time you are ready to receive from God but there is resistence from the enemy. You have decided what God has for you is for you and you go into warfare. But God will teach you how to fight. Your own methods will not work. God has a special strategy for you.
  7. Worship: This is the time when your heart says "Just Him". You are willing to release everything about you and recieve everything about Him.

Travelling Buddies a Sister Talk Event

Hello Girlfriends

I know you are as excited as I am for an opportunity to celebrate those who are important in your lives. How can you show everyone how God has blessed you with connections that extend your abilities, your hearts and your gifts. Life is a journey and God has commissioned us to walk that journey in love-godly love. Along the way we have found those who have hooked up with us and have made our journey much easier, much more enjoyable to make. These connections aren't haphazardly made, but I believe that each connection is authored by God. We have to keep these good relationships healthy. So take this opportunity to praise God for each one. Join us as we relax in the love of God and in each other.
